One of the important phases in a woman’s life, pregnancy is the period from conception to birth when a woman carries a developing fetus in her uterus. Pregnancy requires a great care and using certain medicines and treatments may affect the health and development of the fetus. One such medication is Botox. Although a toxin, if administered correctly, it may be safe for both medical treatment and cosmetic procedure.

Various studies have given different results regarding the use of Botox injections during pregnancy. So, as a precautionary measure, it is recommended to avoid Botox by pregnant women or nursing women. In some cases, using Botox has been potentially linked to risk of miscarriage and problems with fetal development.
